You Don't Know Jack.

Pin It First: there was this Jack.

My dear husband, the Big Bison, and I went through an addiction to the show "24". Jack was always there, to save the day. No matter how dark or evil the terrorist, no matter how dear the cost to himself personally,  Jack was a hero on whom America could depend. We would stay up watching Jack on Netflix till 2:00AM some nights. It was hard to sleep with that much adrenaline pumping, too, even after shutting down the TV.

And then, came this Jack:

Jack Shephard from the TV show "Lost" was the hero who saved the Island. What a guy!

Don't you just love a hero?

Everybody needs a hero!

Which leads me to, now, a hero for the Boonies. Another Jack, too.

Coincidence??? I think not. But, you decide.

Jack. Jack in the Boonies. A hero for our time.

I think Jack is kind of an ass, myself. But he's cute. A country gets the heroes they deserve, I suppose.

That'a a great name. What a fun post. I'm coming off a 24 addiction myself, so I know just what you mean. I'm not following you to Lost though. Enjoy your new addition.

Didn't know the 2nd Jack, would like to meet the 3rd Jack, and as for the 1st Jack, the world would be a better place if he was eating his gun.

My son is a Jack. He's eleven and when I was thinking up names 12 years ago, I really thought Jack wasn't that common of a name. I like old fashioned names and I like names you don't hear everyday. Either I was living under a rock, or the rest of the world also decided to name their kids and TV characters Jack at the same time I did because now I've noticed the world is crawling with Jacks.

I learned my lesson when naming my daughter, and checked the social security name registry. Millie hasn't been in the top 100 most popular baby names since the 20's, and even then, wasn't a strong contender.
